2. Authentication issues
If your card suddenly stopped working, it may be an authentication problem. When donating through Stripe or PayPal, your bank might require extra steps to verify your identity. These steps could include:
Entering a password on your bank’s authentication page.
Entering a code sent to your phone.
These are standard security measures from your bank and not an Oracle Girl issue. Completing these steps should allow the transaction to go through.
3. Card restrictions
Another common reason for failed donations is regional card restrictions. Your bank may limit your card use to specific regions or your country of residence (e.g., "Europe only"), preventing online or international donations.
4. Verify card settings
If you’re unsure why your card isn’t working for donations, call your bank to confirm whether your card is enabled for online and international transactions. Even if your card works well in physical shops, it might have different settings for online payments.
Check saved card details: Ensure any saved card details in your browser are correct and updated.
Install software updates: Make sure your device has the latest updates installed.
Check your phone number: Ensure your card’s bank account has the correct phone number attached for verification.
Download your bank's app: Some banks require an app to authenticate transactions.
