How to join an Oracle Girl Community call on Brave Talk

Here’s what you need to know to join smoothly and enjoy the experience.

Updated over a month ago

Before the call

Please use a laptop or desktop computer for the best experience. If you join from your phone or tablet, some features may not work as smoothly.

We recommend using Chrome, Safari, or Brave. These browsers work best with Brave Talk.

Please avoid Firefox or DuckDuckGo - they may block your microphone or camera, or cause display issues.

If you try to join more than 5 minutes early, the system may ask for a password. Just return closer to the start time and click your join link again – no password is needed.

Audio and microphone not working?

Try these steps if you’re having sound issues:

  • Refresh your browser and re-allow mic / camera permissions

  • Check that your browser isn't blocking Brave Talk.

    • In most browsers, click the padlock icon in the address bar and make sure microphone and camera access are set to 'Allow'.

  • Restart your browser or try a different one (Chrome, Safari or Brave)

During the call

You’ll be welcomed by the Oracle Girl team and then guided into breakout rooms for small group sharing. There will be:

  • A short introduction

  • Breakout room sharing

  • A shared silence

  • A short closing together

Breakout rooms

After the introduction, you'll be invited to join a breakout room for small group sharing.

To join a room:

  1. Click the people icon (👥) in the bottom right corner of the Brave Talk screen.

  2. A panel will open on the right - scroll down past the list of names.

  3. Once you see the Breakout rooms section, choose a room and click Join.

We look forward to seeing you live.
